Following just on the
perimeter
dancing on the
horizon
skirting along the
periphery
the Great Light slips
quietly through.
If you try to capture
Him
you will find
yourself empty handed
alone where He ought
to have been.
If you try to mimic
his brilliance
you will find
tarnished confetti
crinkled and dirty
tinfoil.
If you disdain Him
you will find
yourself badgered
beleaguered at every
turn.
But if you humble
yourself
you become exulted.
If you realize your
insignificance
you come significant.
If you adore without
expectation
the world rolls in
love at your feet.
The tiny sparks of
the seeking tendrils
lighting the darkest
recesses
always creating,
reaching further
manifesting more
Light
becoming Himself.
