DANCING DROPLETS

Little dancing droplets of dew

playing in the reeds

hiding all the frogs

and ducks and chicks and dragonflies.

At high noon waving to the sun

dancing in the golden light

swaying drunkenly in the wind.

Then thirstily drinking the dew

again and dancing

long into the wet night

playing in the reeds.
